ILP Wiki - The Awareness

Back to the Concept Index

Awareness (as a detection system) is the foundation of our perception, emotion, and thought. Without awareness, we detect no perception, feeling nor thought/idea. (Awareness Perspective)

Awareness is one form of the sense of certainty.

We can be aware (we can sense that we are aware) by contrasting to the memory of the lack of awareness, or by comparing to the memory of fading/waking awareness.

Rough hypothetical model of awareness level:

Awareness = Detection mechanism
